Welcome to Kathie Allen Coaching!

I believe that you have found this page for a reason. I believe that we are all connected in some way to the greater good, and it is that belief that drives my life and leadership coaching.
Since I was a child, I have believed in fairness and the greater good. I would ask my parents, “Why can’t things be better for other children?” When I became a teenager, I noticed that boys played basketball during lunch and girls sat in the bleachers and watched them. I would challenge friends and teachers with the question, “Why aren’t girls playing basketball also?” As an educator, I saw hope for a better future in the eyes of many of my students, and asked myself, “What can be done so these hopeful students will realize the dreams they have for themselves?” And now as a life and leadership coach, my thoughts are challenged by the social and political problems with which our world is dealing. I look at all of the resources, talent, and leadership in our world, and ask, “Why do these problems continue to exist?” I work with men and women who want to make a difference in our world wherever that may be. As a coach, I stand beside those who want to contribute their talents and skills to effect change. Some of my clients have an unrealized desire to make significant change with their talents. There are others who know exactly the impact they want to have and don’t know how to get started. Some clients have been affecting change for most of their lives and are experiencing fatigue. They have believed in the outcome of their work so much that the efforts they’ve expended have resulted in worry about their own health, relationships, and futures. Some have begun to lose the passion and joy that once came from their work. I assist many clients to find clarity of vision and purpose, and I assist all of my clients to claim lives of balance and fulfillment while they do vital work for the common good. |
“You are here not merely
to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision and with finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand." —Woodrow Wilson |
